Campaign News and Features
Workforce Center Kudos, Continued
We accidentally omitted two names in last week’s shout-out to those presenting at the National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers’ conference. Among those helping better track America’s nursing workforce who also work with Action Coalitions were Illinois’ Linda Roberts and Iowa’s Lauren Hudson. That makes a total of 13 states with Action Coalitions presenting at the meeting. (See presentations from the sessions as they are posted.)
Survey: Having a Bit More Say Would Help a Lot
McKnight’s Long-Term Care News publishes a surprising finding from a survey of nurses. It’s all about how much control nurses have over their own schedules.
APIN’s Work Lives on: See Its New Website
The Academic Progression in Nursing program has done much to see that more nurses have attained higher education. Now APIN has a new website to lay it all out, including its work toward meeting the Institute of Medicine goals in education; resources; findings; and more.

Nursing Education Calls to Start Again in September
The Campaign’s monthly teleconference calls linking nursing education and Culture of Health concepts are on hold till the fall. Thank You, Wisconsin. Up Next, Idaho

The final “Building on the Campaign for Action Pillars to Create a Healthier America” will welcome Action Coalitions that weren’t at the New Mexico or Wisconsin workshops.
