Preparing the Nursing Workforce for a Changing Health System:

The Role of Graduate Nursing Education

On January 21, 2015, AARP, the Alliance for Health Reform, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will host a briefing on Capitol Hill regarding Medicare’s support for Graduate Nursing Education (GNE). The GNE Demonstration is a four-year program within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation and is testing the feasibility of using Medicare’s support to produce more advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs). The ultimate goal of the program is to increase the supply of APRNs who are prepared to care for the Medicare population with an emphasis in the home and community.

More information on the briefing and how to watch it will be shared in the next Weekly Update.

You’ve found the right prospects and gotten your relationship management practices off to a strong start, but your organization is still struggling with effectively managing and extracting information from your database. Too often, this information must be exported and manually manipulated in order to make it useful; this process not only wastes countless hours, but also often renders the data inaccessible to the people who need it most.

The third webinar in Campbell & Company’s Relationship Management series, “Supporting Relationship Management with the Right Reports” will focus on generating key relationship management metrics and reports from your database and will provide guidance on who should receive these reports after they’ve been created. Through this session, you will learn:

  • The critical input needed from leadership to inform relationship management reports;
  • The tools available for various database systems;
  • Guidelines for report development; and
  • A thoughtful set of relationship-management sample reports.

Webinar: Assessment of Interprofessional Education to Move Beyond Attitudes

Thursday, January 12, 2015 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. EST

Development of national competencies for interprofessional education (IPE) has brought national attention to interprofessional collaboration (IPC). Most schools, training programs, and universities are implementing IPE to fulfill accreditation standards.  However, creating an assessment plan for IPE is also important. The majority of scholarship around IPE has focused on changes in learners’ attitudes regarding IPC, and there is new interest in assessing IPE beyond attitudinal measures.

This webinar, Assessment of IPE to Move Beyond Attitudes: Featured tools and case studies from the field, is the second in a two-part series that focuses on specific measurement tools and case studies from the field that will provide participants with information on how tools are developed, validated, and used to provide quality assessment data.

This webinar is presented by the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative.
