On Thursday, April 12, Livingston HealthCare is presenting The Future of Nursing: A Discussion with Susan Hassmiller, PhD, RN, FAAN, Senior Advisor for Nursing at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation from 12:00 – 1:15 pm at the Best Western, Yellowstone Room.
Susan B. Hassmiller, PhD, RN, FAAN, Senior Advisor for nursing at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and national director of Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action will visit Livingston HealthCare on Thursday, April 12 as part of her Montana tour. Dr. Hassmiller will present the important work that the Campaign for Action is doing in 48 states, including Montana, to build and sustain the changes necessary to improve health care for all Americans. With nurses as the largest sector of health care workers, they daily insure that all Americans have access to high-quality, patient-centered health care. Nurses do not do this in isolation – but need the entire health care team and the community to make the effort vital. This presentation is an opportunity for community dialogue on the initiatives of the Institute of Medicine’s 2010 Report on the Future of Nursing and how it can improve health care for all Montanans including those in Livingston.
